2010 is shaping up to be a great year for MSJ Radio. The long anticipated recording of sermons from Saint John the Apostle in Clinton Township, MI has begun and will soon be added to our playlists. In addition we are continuing to work on bringing you the Daily Office from the Book of Common Prayer. We hope that we will be able to have some samples of this within the next month or two.
2010 has also brought about some new programs! On Saturday evening, from 4 to 5:30, The Cloistered Heart will be bringing you some of the most beautiful chants from monistaries through out the world. Gregorian chant, Taize, and Anglican Plainsong will be the fare that you feast upon during this program designed to prepare your heart for the next days celebration of worship.
On Sundays, from 3 until 5, we will be bringing you a selection of the hymns of the Church. From the ancient hymns of the faith to the revival hymns of this last century, we hope that you are challenged and uplifted in your faith. These are the songs that we grew up singing in our family parishes and are our great heritage.
In addition we will be adding a new feature to Midday Prayer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesdays will include the sermon given at the 8 o'clock service at Saint John the Apostle while Thursdays will feature the sermon from the 10 o'clock service.
As our little radio station continues to grow we hope that you will consider supporting it with a donation that will help us to increase our storage space for music and sermons. Thank you again for your prayers and support!
